Located on the Strait of Gibraltar that separates Africa from Europe, about 15 km from the Spanish coast and on the edge of the Rif mountain range – which once bygone was already populated by Lions – Tangier is a city with a unique charm.
Tangier remains an important strategic place. With its two thousand five hundred years of existence, it now has a population of more than 1 million inhabitants. Its history dating back to ancient times, it is one of the oldest cities in North Africa.
